Step 1: Weigh Out Your Ingredients

Step 2: Load the Vessel to the Correct Fill Level
Load powder up to a maximum of 60% of vessel volume — 0.05–0.8kg on the SM-2L's 2L vessel, or 1–6kg on the SM-10L's 10L vessel. Overfilling is the single biggest cause of an uneven blend: it leaves no headspace for the powder to tumble and fold over itself, so the mixer runs the full cycle without actually mixing the material at the center of the load.
Step 3: Secure the Lid
Seal the vessel lid completely before starting the motor. An unsecured or partially seated lid is the most common cause of powder loss and dust during blending, particularly at the higher end of the SM-10L's speed range.
Step 4: Set the Speed
The SM-2L runs at a fixed 20 rpm — no adjustment needed. On the SM-10L, choose a speed within the 5–30 rpm range based on batch size and powder density: start around the middle of the range and adjust based on how your test samples come out, since too slow under-blends and too fast can let denser particles settle instead of mixing through.

Step 7: Unload and Clean the Vessel
